WOMAN UP, AMERICA: IT’S TIME TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR OUR ACTIONS

“The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.”

~ Proverbs 14:1 (The Bible)

It’s time for we women to take responsibility for our actions.

We’re embroiled in a current election war in our nation the likes of which most of us have never seen—or wanted to see. Our country is as divided as it has ever been except, perhaps, in the days before the Civil War (or “War Between the States”, if you’re from the South). If you look at the election map by counties, that division becomes painfully clear. Just like the 2016 election {map pictured}, almost every city and metropolitan area is color coded blue while basically the rest of the country is red, meaning the majority vote was Democrat/Republican, respectively. This wouldn’t be that big of a deal except the philosophies now represented by those two parties have reached dangerously polar positions. We’re not just talking about donkeys and elephants any more. We’re talking about whether men should be able to marry men, Christians should be able to worship in public, citizens should have “the right to keep and bear arms” (2nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution), newborn babies should receive medical attention or be left on a cold table to die…the socialist/communist viewpoint now so openly embraced by the Democratic party (check out the 2020 Democratic Platform) is in direct defiance of what our American Founding Fathers envisioned in our U.S. Constitution to the point that it almost feels like we now have two nations existing within one country: the real America and the socialist America (and, thus, the present nightmare of an election). I’m not going to break down how we got here. I’m certainly not going to make any predictions of what’s going to happen next (only Father God knows that). What I am going to do is call to account a “people group” that has contributed more to this chaos than any of us want to admit:

The American woman.

This is not taking responsibility away from men for their part in this mess (and, guys, if you think that’s what it is, I dare you to listen to this podcast by U.S. Army Lt. Colonel Kevin Bouren). Men are just as guilty. But, frankly, I’m tired of guys always getting bad-mouthed and girls always getting pep-talks. I’m a woman and I’m an American so I can say this: ladies, it’s time for us in America to own our own mistakes. It’s time for us to “woman up”. To face facts…

And the fact is little to none of this would be happening right now if we hadn’t bought the lie of feminism.

I am not saying there wouldn’t be sin in the world; I am saying sin wouldn’t be running so blatantly rampant destroying everything in its path at a catastrophic rate. If we hadn’t believed our own selfish priorities were more important than teaching and nurturing the next generation, the next generation who voted in this election wouldn’t have voted for Godlessness, cowardice, sexual immorality, and abortion (and if you think ripping a human child out of its mother, hacking its body to pieces, grinding it to powder, and selling it for $24,000 per vial to the National Institutes of Health isn’t a bad thing, you need Jesus). Abraham Lincoln said, “The philosophy of the schoolroom in one generation will be the philosophy of government in the next”, meaning whoever gets the mind of the children gets the nation. Well, before God, whose job is it to influence the minds of the children?

Ours as women.

Yet where do we, as American mothers, spend the majority of our time?

Away from our children.

Thank God, there are a few exceptions, but most of us ship our kids off to public schools (in person or online) to be indoctrinated with anti-God, anti-Biblical, anti-free-enterprise-and-everything-else-good propaganda while we “pursue our careers” (don’t try to argue with me about the nobility of public schools: I know too much about what’s in the curriculum and what goes on in the bathrooms for that to hold water). Yes, tragically, many feel they don’t have a choice. Single Moms, parents having to work to pay off massive student loans, etc., etc.,…yet the question begs an answer: would we have so many single Moms or so much debt in the first place if we women had yielded to God’s design of femininity instead of satan’s mold of feminism? If, instead of swallowing the lie that happiness lies beyond the home and we can only be “strong, powerful, and respected” if we fight for ourselves in the workplace, we had looked into Scripture and throughout history at the countless examples of women who courageously, selflessly laid down their lives to ensure the next generation would hear the Truth—and live by it?

If we had chosen to pass up the six-figure income to stay home and teach our sons that treating a woman with respect and guarding her purity was the honorable thing to do? If we had given up our own accolades and chances for glory to model for our daughters that strength and bravery mean putting other’s needs before our own selfish desires? If we had had the guts to “buck the system” and, instead of pushing our kids towards college, warned them about the dangers of going into such debt, helping them find other alternatives? If we had helped our sons learn the value of a practical trade and our daughters the beauty of cultivating the home instead of shipping them off to a university to be brainwashed by communist professors (which happen to be in the cities voting blue. Coincidence?)? If, instead of allowing Disney to teach our children what was right and wrong, we turned off the screen, opened up the Bible, and taught them right and wrong ourselves? If we had encouraged them to engage instead of be entertained? To listen to the wisdom of their elders instead of the opinions of their peers? That an honest day’s work brings an honest day’s pay but a lazy man becomes a slave? That the boldest, most challenging, thrilling, and rewarding thing a woman can choose to do with her life is to “love her husband, love her children,” and be a “guardian at home” (Titus 2:3-5)?

The map might look a whole lot different.

It’s time to “woman up”, America. We—as women—have sinned. We need to let the Holy Spirit of God search our hearts. We need to search Scripture for ourselves and find out what God’s design for our lives and the home He’s placed us in actually is, not just what our culture (and, sadly, the Church) has told us it’s supposed to be. We, as American women, must repent for believing satan’s lie of feminism. And we must, must, must yield ourselves to Jesus and let Him teach us another way, a better way—His way for us to be as women.

Or 2020 is going to feel like a walk in the park compared to what comes next.

CHOOSE HEROIC,

CHRISTIS JOY
